The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a Laboratory Manager for the Pavement Engineering & Science Program (PES). This is a full-time, 12-month position in a vibrant and exciting academic department with an accredited engineering program. This position is soft-funded and renewable contingent on funding availability. The Laboratory Manager for the Pavement Engineering and Science (PES) Program provides support to faculty and students to ensure accurate and timely research project progression.  This position creates systems to evaluate and analyze materials based on project needs, identifies equipment and materials needed for project completion and to track and report project progress.  The ideal candidate will develop and enforce lab safety procedures, train and mentor students working in a lab setting, and dispose of materials upon completion of experimentation. The position reports to the Director of the Pavements Engineering & Science Program within the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering under the College of Engineering at UNR. The position is expected to be filled as soon as suitable candidate is selected, but no earlier than January 1, 2022.
