    Dear APSE members,

    It is my pleasure to announce the launch of the APSE School of Excellence (APSE SoE). This initiative aims to offer unique learning opportunities for the pavement science and engineering (PS&E) community in multi-disciplinary areas. This is a unique opportunity for the participants to gain knowledge in exciting research areas, network with potential collaborators, and use the information to develop advanced courses in academic programs. 

    One or multiple groups can join efforts to develop a proposal for organizing APSE SoE. The process, guidelines, and content of the proposals can be found here.  In addition, we will soon have an open session with APSE officers to answer questions from the community. 

    • Call for Proposals – September 26, 2022

    • Hold a Session to Explain the SoE – Date to be announced

    • Proposals Due – December 2, 2022

    • Selection of APSE SoE Course and Location – January 8 (During the APSE Annual Meeting at TRB 2023)

    Interested groups should submit their proposals by email to (admin@pavementsacademy.onmicrosoft.com) with email subject “APSE School of Excellence (APSE SoE)”.

    APSE looks forward to receiving your proposals and for your participation in this initiative.

    Extended Paper Submission Deadline for AM3P2022 Hong Kong (Dec 12-14, 2022): Jun 30 2022 

    The Conference Standing International Advisory Committee (SIAC) and the Organizing Committee (OC) invite delegates to submit papers and to participate in the International Conference on Advances in Materials and Pavement Performance Prediction (AM3P) to be held December 12-14, 2022, in Hong Kong, China (https://www.am3p.com). 

    The AM3P 2022 conference is inspired by the legacy of the previous four 3DFEM conferences held in Delft and Athens as well as the successful 2018 AM3P (Doha) and 2020 AM3P (San Antonio/virtual), sponsored by TRB, APSE and ASCE Greater China Section, and featured with Prof. Jianlong Zheng, Prof. Amit Bhasin, Prof. Linbing Wang, and Prof. Gordon Airey as the Keynote Speakers.

    All papers should be limited to four pages. The accepted papers will be published in the peer-reviewed conference proceedings. The instructions for paper submission and template for the conference papers can be accessed at the conference

    The AM3P 2022 conference is inspired by the legacy of the previous four 3DFEM conferences held in Delft and Athens as well as the successful 2018 AM3P (Doha) and 2020 AM3P (San Antonio/virtual). The AM3P series of conferences at regular intervals are intended to continue the same theme: i.e., models; experimental methods to measure properties and determine model parameters; implementation and utilization for material or pavement prediction; etc.
